The world of Deponia is a grim one: the people’s home is a huge garbage dump. In the clouds flies the city Elysium, which is considered the only place where one can escape those harsh living conditions. But of course there is no way up – however, the egocentric inventor Rufus, the hero of the game, tries all he can to get there… This is a traditional point & click adventure in which the player needs to solve puzzle chains in order to achieve the chapter’s big goal.

In Deponia, the world has degenerated into a vast garbage dump, in which the crotchety Rufus ekes out his sorry existence. He is part of the lowest social class, doomed to live his life in literal mountains of trash. He hopes for an opportunity to get into the world of the rich, who live in floating cities high above the clouds. Fate seems to smile on the snotty good-for-nothing when one day the attractive lady named Goal from the higher sectors plummets into one of the trash heaps.
